Stanford, Palo Alto, November 11, 2024

A Delegation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, led by Minister Maria Mrówczyńska, visited the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship and Stanford University. The delegation included Rectors from prominent Polish universities, such as the University of Warsaw, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and Warsaw University of Technology.

The primary focus of the visit was to discuss the current initiatives undertaken by PolSV Center, as well as to outline strategic plans for the coming years. The discussions provided a valuable opportunity for representatives from the Ministry and the universities to engage in substantive dialogue about the role of education and research in driving innovation.

During the visit, several important topics were addressed, including potential partnerships between Polish institutions and Silicon Valley entities. The delegation explored ways to enhance collaborative research initiatives, improve academic exchanges, and foster entrepreneurship among students and researchers.

We engaged in numerous productive discussions that generated new ideas and innovative approaches to the future activities of PolSV. The participants exchanged insights about best practices in technology transfer, venture creation, and enhancing the global competitiveness of Polish universities.

This event not only strengthened the ties between Polish academic institutions and their counterparts in Silicon Valley but also provided a platform for fostering collaboration that can lead to groundbreaking advancements in science and technology.
