New Publication: Prof. Piotr D. Moncarz on Poland’s Competitiveness in an Era of “Weaponized Globalization”

The latest issue of Pomorski Thinkletter, a reference publication of the Institute for Market Economics (IBnGR), explores one of the most pressing strategic questions for Poland today: How can the country build economic competitiveness under conditions of “weaponized globalization” and intensifying geopolitical rivalry?

The issue, titled “New Competitiveness and the New Positioning of Poland in Europe and the World,” brings together more than 30 contributions from leading policymakers, industry executives, academics, and innovation leaders. The publication examines: new models of economic development, the role of technology and innovation, the global race for critical resources, and the shift from imitation to creation in economic policy.

Among the contributing authors is Prof. Piotr D. Moncarz (Stanford University, Poland in Silicon Valley Center), whose text—available on page 175 of the publication–provides strategic insights into Poland’s opportunity space in science, technology, and innovation.

Other contributors include senior representatives of Polish government and industry, such as the Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański, Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ignacy Niemczycki, CEO of ORLEN S.A. Ireneusz Fąfara, CEO of BGK Prof. Mirosław Czekaj, CEO of PFR Piotr Matczuk, CEO of Asseco Poland Dr. Adam Góral, and many others from academia, business, and policy circles.
