Panel at the 2025 Economic Forum in Karpacz: Polish Science in Silicon Valley – Prof. Piotr Moncarz

On September 2, 2025, during the Economic Forum in Karpacz, the Cracow University of Technology hosted a panel titled “Polish Science in Silicon Valley”, moderated by Prof. Jacek Chmielewski. The special guest was Prof. Piotr Moncarz, founder and president of the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Prof. Moncarz presented the origins of the Poland Top 1000 Innovators program, developed as a continuation of the earlier Top 500 Innovators initiative. He emphasized that the new program aims to establish continuous collaboration between Polish universities, innovative enterprises, and local governments with the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

The initiative focuses on the transfer of knowledge, experience, and innovation, as well as supporting Polish projects in intellectual property protection, patent preparation, and international promotion.

A key milestone will be the Summit 2025 in Silicon Valley, bringing together about 170 representatives from 12 Polish universities. The program will feature workshops, mentoring sessions, and meetings with investors, entrepreneurs, and researchers from leading American institutions.

Prof. Moncarz highlighted that the project has a long-term character, with the ambition to firmly establish Poland as a country of knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the world’s leading innovation centers.
