Prof. Piotr Moncarz to open the 7th International EKON eco5 zero Conference in Katowice

On 28 and 29 November 2025 the 7th International EKON eco5 zero Conference will take place at the Monopol Hotel in Katowice. The event is one of the key national forums dedicated to energy transition, green technologies and the development of a zero emission economy.

The conference is organized by the EKON Foundation together with the Silesian Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs, Ekopak and the Amber Group. It brings together experts from business, academia, public administration and the NGO sector. The goal of the event is to foster dialogue and cooperation supporting the European Green Deal and Polands long term energy transition strategy.

This years program includes two strategic panels:

  1. Quo vadis economy, focused on the future of the Polish economy in light of climate and technology challenges
  2. European Union 2.0, dedicated to the future of the EU, climate neutrality and energy sovereignty

A key highlight of the conference will be the opening address by Prof. Piotr D. Moncarz, President and CEO and co founder of the Poland in Silicon Valley Center. Prof. Moncarz will share insights on global technological and energy trends and on the role of international cooperation in building a sustainable economy.

The conference will once again bring together leaders in innovation, responsible business and green transformation, making Katowice a meeting place for meaningful discussions on the future of a zero emission economy.
